This treatment does not require nail debridement. Urea cream also can be applied to help soften the thickened nails due to fungal infection. Within 12 months, all patients involved in the study, get clinical cure from nail fungus. A microbiological cure rate is also quite high reaching 87.5%. In addition to practical, treatment with amphotericin B is also cheap. Amphotericin B for non-dermatophyte nail fungus does not cause side effects.
